Challenge

Adversitement has worked together with Univé to provide them with web implementations and analytics for almost a decade. A new component has been added to this fruitful collaboration; a solution for the challenges that the new GDPR legislation entails. Originally Univé, like many companies, used a standard cookie banner in which users had little control over which data they share.

It was key to reorganize the data collection
in such a way that it was logically structured,
customer-centric and compliant with the
GDPR legislation.

Solution

It was key to reorganize the data collection in such a way that is was logically structured, customer centric and compliant with the GDPR legislation. This resulted in three categories:

Functional cookies that are used to measure whether the website is available and functioning. These are required for using the webchat or to log in on ‘Mijn Univé’.

Marketing cookies help to track the surfing behavior of a visitor on the website. This allows Univé to offer relevant advertisements on other websites.

Social media cookies are used to ensure that visitors can share content, see embedded video content and so that social media surfing behavior can be tracked.

Adversitement has coordinated this data reorganization with Univé’s current contract. It resulted in a cost efficiently implementation. This was made possible through the streamlined division of tasks between Univé and Adversitement, all a result of the successful longterm collaboration between the two companies. With the help of the Datastreams Platform and Privacy & Compliance module the result is dashing: a fully compliant, responsive and customizable consent manager accessible on all devices.

Future

Univé is a company that values trust, not just because it is required by legislation, but because trust in each other is their very foundation. Adversitement feels the same way about handling data: trust and reliability are essential. This fruited into an excellent cooperation where Univé now has the complete knowledge to keep the consent manager and the underlying data organization under control. This way they can face the future in a way that is close to their values; reliable, assured of compliancy and focused on the customer.
